Beth joined our staff in 2007 as Student Minister. She graduated from Averett University in Danville, VA with a religion degree after sensing God’s call to ministry as a teenager.
She has a heart for students and young adults, and longs to see them grow in their relationship with the Lord and then use their gifts to share His love with others. Her years of various ministry experiences have taught her that God faithfully shows up when you step up in obedience, and out in faith.
Born and raised in Virginia Beach, she and her husband Ryan love beach days, finding new Mexican restaurants, scuba diving, and serving the Kingdom together.
Mark Clarke
Worship Pastor

Mark Clarke is a passionate worship leader, songwriter, and recording artist with a heart for guiding people into authentic encounters with God. He is the devoted husband of Jane and proud father to their 4 kids.
Mark has served as Worship Pastor in diverse congregations in Michigan, Indiana and Virginia. His ministry has also extended internationally to Nicaragua, where he has led worship seminars, trained worship leaders, and performed in concert settings.
At the core of Mark’s ministry is a deep and abiding love for Jesus Christ, which fuels his passion for worship and shapes every aspect of his life and leadership.
Mark brings a contagious joy, unwavering devotion, and an encouraging spirit that continues to uplift and inspire.
Dr. Patrick Edwards
Lead Pastor

Patrick joined the King’s Grant family in July 2024. He studied History at the University of Virginia, and went on to earn his Masters degree and Ph.D. at Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary in Wake Forest, NC.
He’s led churches in North Carolina, Missouri, and Maryland, as well as partners with pastors and church planters throughout Europe. Patrick is passionate about helping others grow in their knowledge of God’s Word and walk closely with Jesus. He loves to mobilize Christians to live on mission at home and to the ends of the earth!
Patrick is married to Teresa, who is a Virginia Beach native, and is the dad to Aiden, Charlotte, and a handsome Golden Retriever named Bennett!
Kristen Hogan
Custodian

Kristen has worked at King’s Grant since 2005, for over two decades! She has kept our church clean, organized, and ensures rooms are set up accordingly prior to events. We’re happy to have Kristen as part of our team and appreciate her everyday.
Lisa Hogan
Financial Administrator

Lisa brought her skills to the congregation of King’s Grant in 2025. A talented and accomplished financial administrator, she has served a number of different churches and organizations throughout the Hampton Roads Community.
Babee Garcia
Communications Director
Read Bio
Babee Garcia is an award-winning communications professional with a demonstrated history of military and media experience. She served as the Audience Engagement Manager for The War Horse News Inc., and a TV News Producer for Good Morning Charlottesville and CBS19 News at WCAV-TV.
Babee has worked in several areas in communications that ranges from public relations, to photojournalism, to print writing, to broadcast news. She earned her bachelor’s in journalism in January 2019 at Montclair State University, where she also earned multiple accolades.
In addition to her experiences and skills in journalism, she is also a Marine Corps veteran. She was honorably discharged as a Corporal in March 2016 and worked as an Aviation Supply Specialist in MCAS New River, NC. Currently, she serves on the Board of Directors for the nonprofit Military Veterans in Journalism. Her colleagues awarded her the “Volunteer of the Year” award in October 2021 at their inaugural MVJ Convention.
When she’s not at work, Babee teaches Zumba, a high intensity cardio dance class, at multiple locations across the 757. She is also a thrill-seeker who has skydived, enjoys rollercoasters, and loves to scrapbook.
Babee is thrilled to be a part of the King’s Grant Baptist Church team as Communications Director. She looks forward to bringing her expertise on storytelling, ingenuity, and collaborating with the staff.
Amy Newberry
Children’s Minister

Amy joined the staff in April 2016 to lead our preschool department. She is quite gifted in dealing with people, as well as managing volunteers and processes. She has a love for children and is a fantastic addition to our staff.
We value her ideas, passion, and commitment to the families at King’s Grant Baptist Church and our local neighborhood.
In August 2018, Amy added Children’s Ministry to her responsibilities providing the same excellent passion and care for kids grades 1-6 and their families.
Belinda Reynolds
Choir Director

Belinda joined our staff several years ago as our pianist but is now serving as our part time choir director. Since August 2022, she has proven to be a gifted choir leader. She coordinates and leads first-class Christmas and Easter presentations.
As a life-long music educator, she not only leads our choir well, she also coordinates our annual Fine Arts Camp.
