Ways to Serve

Some people like to start with the welcome team. Others raise their voices in the choir or share their musical talents with the praise band. And then are those who show hospitality through serving coffee and greeting people on Sunday mornings. There are endless possibilities to serving at King’s Grant Church, some of which include:

  • BBQ Ministry: Throughout the year helping to prepare and deliver meals of appreciation and support for our Virginia Beach Police and Fire Departments, as well as the Veterans’ Affairs Hospital in Hampton.
  • Winter Shelter: An annual event where we host and provide meals for the homeless in our community.
  • The King’s Companions: As those within our community face health crisis or challenges that come with advanced age, we seek to offer companionship through visits, rides to doctor’s appointments, and whatever else may be needed.
  • Volunteering Opportunities: Welcome Team, Greeters at the front door, side door, and even in the sanctuary, Safety Team, Meals on Wheels, Extended Session child care (with an official background check), Building and Grounds Team, Camera/Recording Team, Slide Projection Team, Church Office Volunteers, Kitchen and Hospitality Team…
