Frequently Asked Questions About Online Giving

Why use E-Giving?

E-Giving is convenient for you! No need to write checks, carry cash, or prepare envelopes. Donate anytime for any purpose using any computer or your phone. With optional automatic giving, you can stay on track with your support of our church even if you are unable to attend services. The church in turn benefits from donation consistency and a reduction in the volume of check and cash contributions that must be manually processed in the church office. E-Giving is also green!

How does E-Giving work? Can I give with a debit card?

Contributions are transferred automatically in two ways…

1) You may make your donation from your checking or savings account to the church’s bank account by Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT), through the Automated Clearing House (ACH) network (the same network already used by families to make mortgage and utility payments or to receive payroll earnings and Social Security income).

2) You may add a method of payment using a credit/debit card, making that a one-time or a recurring donation. We prefer that you use a debit card rather than a credit card to make your E-Giving donations.

When will my contribution be debited from my account?

A debit to your bank account will occur on the date you specify on the E-Giving transaction. If you choose to set up an automatic donation, the debit will occur on the first banking day of each scheduled period (weekly, monthly, etc.) beginning with the start date you specify.

Is E-Giving safe?

We have carefully chosen the giving addition to our Planning Center Online and Church Center account. Church Center is an established and highly-regarded company that manages a lot of church processes. Church Center has partnered with the Stripe company, a reputable company who processes monetary transactions all over the world. Stripe works behind the scenes, you will remain on the Church Center platform while giving to King’s Grant Baptist Church.

How much does E-Giving cost?

It costs you nothing to enjoy convenient E-Giving, and it costs the church very little (just pennies and percent per transaction). However, you will have the option to pay for the transaction fee so that your entire donation goes to King’s Grant.

What if I want to change or cancel automatic E-Giving?

You can change or cancel your authorization at any time by logging in to your Church Center Giving account.

How can I sign up for E-Giving?

You may CLICK HERE to go directly to the Church Center Giving page. From there you will be prompted through the donation process.

Can the church set up automatic E-Giving for me?

We don’t recommend this. You need to have total control over your finances. HOWEVER, if you need help going through the set up process, we can certainly walk you through each step. Simply make an appointment to visit us in the office at King’s Grant.
