Students to MFuge 2025

We’re going back to MFuge Philadelphia the week of July 7th – 12th, 2025 for a week of service, worship, Bible study, and fun! There will be more information in the coming months, but this letter contains the information you need to know right now.

The total cost of camp is $400. This covers the cost of lodging in a college dorm at Eastern University, meals for the week, transportation, a book and a t-shirt.

In order to secure your student’s spot for camp, I will need a non-refundable deposit of $75 per child by Wednesday, February 5th. We have reserved spots for us until this date. You can always sign up and pay your deposit at a later date, but there is no guarantee that there will be availability. Final payments will be due in June at our Parent Meeting. (Date TBA)

You can make your $75 deposit in several ways:
1. You can write a check to King’s Grant Baptist Church with “MFuge” in the memo.
2. You can pay with cash.
3. You can pay online by clicking HERE.

(Find MFuge in the drop-down menu, enter $75, set up how to pay, then check the box to cover the transaction fee so your full deposit goes toward the mission trip. If you could send Beth an email letting her know that you’ve paid online, that would be helpful!)
FYI: a credit/debit card fee is just short of $3 while an ACH bank draft is only 30 cents)

Walk for Life for 2024

Local Missions Opportunity! Partner with Crisis Pregnancy Center of Tidewater (CPC) in providing support for families in our community facing unplanned pregnancies. Pick up a fundraising form from our Walk for Life info Table in the foyer and register to raise funds at cpcfriends.org/walk to help CPC save more lives, spare more hearts, and spread the gospel here in South Hampton Roads!

Raise funds, SAVE LIVES! King’s Grant Baptist is committed to supporting Crisis Pregnancy Center of Tidewater’s 2024 Walk for LIFE. Our church’s goal is to have 6 Fundraising Walkers – will you help? Pick up a fundraising form on Wednesday night or Sunday and register to raise funds or make a donation CLICK HERE.

We are also partnering with the Bridge Network of Churches in support of their baby car seat project, for the Crisis Pregnancy Center. State law requires NEW car seats, (used ones are not allowed). If you would like to participate, purchase a car seat in a neutral color, suitable for a boy or a girl. Drop it off at the church by Sunday April 14, and we will get the new car seat to the Bridge Network office for you. This will benefit new moms and their babies at our local Crisis Pregnancy Center.

Winter Shelter 2023

We anticipate 60 guests each night while the shelter is at King’s Grant. We need classes to provide the evening meals (planning the menu, purchasing food, preparing the meal, and cleaning up the kitchen), generally one class each evening, (take a look below for the classes committed to serving a meal). For early risers, the breakfast team is at work beginning at 4:30 (preparing, cooking, and cleaning up each morning). The church provides the food for breakfasts. Hospitality is a team this year, hosting and ministering and serving our guests while they’re on campus. We will also need a few men to spend the night as a security detail.
